I have had the honor and privilege to be a mental health counselor for almost 40 years. In those years, I have met with, sat with and listened to many amazing individuals and families each wanting to explore ways to understand and manage anxiety, fears even the impact of a trauma, recent or past. Many want support as they find ways to live with a catastrophic illness, learn to live with what has become a “new normal” because of illness and/or the need to be a caregiver to another or to live life after a loss. This loss could be that of a person however there are so many other losses that pose a challenge and as a counselor, I am there for them.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University and my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. I am a licensed as a mental health counselor in Florida, am a qualified supervisor and certified Trauma Therapist. I was, also, the recipient of the Heart of Hospice which was one of the most amazing honors I could have received. I have been committed to continue my education so that I am able to offer clients the most current information related to mental health diagnoses and treatment options. I love mental health counseling but believe in self-care so that I can be the best for my clients. I am involved in our community and even keep myself involved in theater as an actor. I love animals and my furry child’s name is Lily and I love and cherish family and friends.
Please know that you do not have to be alone….there are those of us ready to hear your story and be a guide as you find hope and wellness in your life.
